The musical path of the Romanian singer Diana Rasina begins in her native country with classical singing and in Vienna she studies jazz, vocal pedagogy and Romance studies (French and Spanish). She starts a project with Romanian music with renowned musicians of the Viennese world music scene and her first CD "Romanian Tales" is released by Galileo Music and longlisted for the German Record Critics' Award.
Her new album "Romance" presents love songs in Romance languages from the Middle Ages to the present day and aims to draw attention to the linguistic and cultural diversity in Europe.
Diana Rasina is also involved in several musical projects, notably with world music and jazz. On the one hand she revives treasures of various vocal traditions of the world and on the other hand she creates new musical horizons by interweaving different musical genres, cultures and improvisation techniques. She is also awarded the title "Ambassador for Peace" for her collaboration with musicians of diverse origins and for the intercultural dialogue through music.
